The Baby's Arrival

So the wifi delayed the arrival of Mushroom's baby, but this let me polish up my story while I was trying to figure out how to upload stuff.

Mushroom sat in her room at the Nook with Cookie. Since accidentally becoming eggbound, she'd felt very conflicted over what to do about the egg. She's found a job, so she knew she would soon have the money to afford a home for her, Cookie, and the baby to move into. She didn't want the baby to grow up without a home or ever having any trace of its parents like she did. She also wasn't sure if the baby would be able to find anyone to spend time with. She was very lucky in finding Cookie's egg when she was younger, so she was able to grow up with her adoptive brother, but she couldn't be certain that her baby would have the same luck in even finding friends. With that, it'd be logical to just raise the baby herself, but she wasn't sure if she'd be able to- even with Cookie's help.
Cookie had been very supportive throughout this whole ordeal. Of course, he's had concerns of his own. He was originally pretty worried, especially because Mushroom didn't intend to have an egg so soon, and other Wyngrew can be really judgemental. Mushroom kept the egg as much of a secret as she could with his help. She was too embarrassed to admit to anyone that the egg was actually hers and let everyone believe the egg was just some relative of hers. Few did realize that it was indeed her egg, but they seemed to be kind enough to not gossip about it. 
That day, Mushroom had the day off from work. She was glad to have off, and definitely needed the break. Though she felt she should work more, she'd already worked so much overtime that her boss insisted she stayed home. He didn't have much work left for her to do for a while anyways. She and Cookie were talking, wondering about the baby and when it would hatch, estimating when they'd have the money to move out, and just about stuff in general. They were having a nice little inside day.
Suddenly, Mushroom noticed that the egg felt warmer than usual. She looked down and her eyes widened. To her surprise, the egg was glowing! She was borderline panicking, not expecting the egg to hatch today. Cookie just looked at the egg in wonder. While Mushroom was there to see him hatch, he'd never seen an egg hatch before. It was a very interesting sight.
Mushroom wasn't entirely sure whether she should help the baby break out of its shell or not. Miss Alma had always insisted that eggs are left to hatch on their own, but she couldn't help but feel compelled to help. Nonetheless, the new baby seemed to be stronger than Cookie was, as it broke the shell much quicker. Mushroom and Cookie both watched as the baby finally reached its little arm out of its shell. Seeing the baby's squishy little face, Mushroom was suddenly overwhelmed with emotion. Just seeing it finalized her decision for her- she would raise this baby best she can and give it the best childhood she possibly could!
